O Bad Moon Rising foi uma das melhores bandas de Hard Rock que o mundo ja teve, comandada pelo vocalista Kal Swan e o guitarrista Doug Aldrich, ambos pilares também de sua banda anterior, Lion. Para completar a turma eles contaram com Ian Mayo no baixo e Jackie Ramos na bateria (Jackie, que entrou na banda após o lançamento do primeiro álbum), ambos já haviam passado por bandas como Hericane Alice e Bangalore Choir. A banda lançou no total três albums com musicas inéditas, após o lançamento do Opium For The Masses em 1995 a banda terminou por diferenças musicais, Doug começou a se dedicar a seus projetos solos, fez turnê e gravou o ‘Killing the Dragon’’ com Dio, e mais tarde entrou como pilar na nova formação do Whitesnake. O restante da banda não se sabe por onde anda, boatos dizem que Kal Swan se aposentou da musica, tenhamos esperança de ver Kal e Doug juntos uma vez mais.

To all our friends,

How are you all doning? Good we hope.

BMR has had some tough times as well, which leads us to the reason for this statement.

With an eight year career as a band, Bad Moon Rising now has decided to call it aday. It is very unfortunate, but we feel that we have done everything we could does BMR. We have always tried to produce the best possible music that we could. Sometimes we tried new things to push ourselves, even though some people might not have agreed. But we believed in what we were doing. Now its time for everyone to carry on his ownway and go on to the next stage.

We are extremely grateful to all of you for all your support and work on our behalf. Ian and Jackie are also very proud to be a part of this family. As for the two ofus, we still have amazing memories from Lion.

Though we are heading for new destinations individually, we will never forget thetime we had in Bad Moon Rising with you,
